Denver, CO — Tiger Kim’s Academy, a landmark martial arts institution located at 7000 East Colfax Avenue, is proud to announce its 50th Anniversary of continuous operation in the Denver community. Founded in 1976 by Grandmaster Tiger Kim, the academy has spent a half-century dedicated to strengthening the minds and bodies of generations of Denver youth through traditional Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, and Hapkido.

To mark this historic 50-year milestone, the academy is opening its doors for a community celebration, honoring the thousands of local families who have crossed its threshold to learn not just self-defense, but vital life skills.

While the academy boasts a rich lineage—certifying black belts globally through its Seoul, Korea headquarters (The Kukkiwon)—its daily mission remains entirely local: helping children and teenagers develop the focus, perseverance, and respect needed to succeed in school and in life.

Tiger Kim’s Academy invites past alumni, current students, and local residents to join the celebration. The academy will be hosting special demonstrations, historic look-backs, and introductory workshops throughout the anniversary season.
