About Colorado Martial Arts Council
A Council in Your Corner
Once upon a time in Colorado, Martial arts schools thrived, but the community was fragmented. Events were scattered, and it was hard for schools to connect and for athletes to find opportunities to compete and grow. We knew we could change that.

Rooted in Tradition, Ripined in Denver
Founded by Grandmaster Tiger Kim, whose family has served the Denver community for nearly 50 years, introducing thousands of students to authentic Korean martial arts.

Bridging Gaps Between Schools
For years, local schools and athletes struggled with scattered events and limited collaboration. Our organization was built to bring unity, structure, and shared opportunities for growth.

Creating Pathways, Not Barriers
Many martial artists found advancement difficult outside their own school. We designed a league and council that gives athletes fair chances to compete, gain recognition, and progress, no matter their style or affiliation.
Mission
The Colorado Martial Arts Council’s mission is simple: to provide support and opportunities for all martial arts and artists, while giving schools ways to collaborate through tournaments and community events.

We welcome all styles and disciplines equally — Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, Hapkido, Kung Fu, MMA, and more — with no favorites. Our goal is unity and growth.

Unite Colorado Martial Arts Schools
CMAC brings together Taekwondo, Karate, Hapkido, Kung Fu, and all other styles under one council, fostering respect and collaboration across disciplines.

Support Instructors & Owners
Our council helps school leaders connect, share resources, and build a stronger martial arts community together.

Train Referees & Volunteers
We offer free seminars and refresher courses so referees and volunteers can stay sharp, ensuring fair and professional tournaments.

Heard of our women’s self-defense class? It meets once a month and all fees go to fighting breast cancer.
2026 Calendar: 2/1, 3/8, 4/12, 5/3, 6/7, 7/12, 8/2, 9/13, 10/4, 11/12, 12/6
Organizational Principles

We welcome every martial art and school, honoring tradition while encouraging diversity and collaboration.

We exist to strengthen the martial arts community in Colorado by supporting schools, students, and instructors equally.

Fairness, safety, and professionalism guide every event, ensuring athletes earn recognition through merit.

By providing tournaments, rankings, and shared resources, we empower athletes and schools to thrive together.

Participant Feedback
Our members, parents, and competitors share how the Colorado Martial Arts Council has strengthened the martial arts community across Colorado — creating fair, professional events that promote growth, respect, and unity among traditional schools.

Patricia Muller
School Owner
“Being part of CMAC has connected my school with others across Colorado. Instead of competing in isolation, our students now have a clear tournament circuit to grow in, and I’ve built strong relationships with other instructors.”

Patricia Muller
Parent
“CMAC tournaments are organized and welcoming. My kids love competing, and I love knowing the events are safe, fair, and designed to build their confidence — not just their trophies.”

Benjamin Miller
Competitor
“I’ve trained for years, but before CMAC, I didn’t have many chances to test myself outside my own school. Now I look forward to every event and working toward the Grand Championship. It pushes me to keep improving.”
